The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, is currently undergoing a re-accreditation process of its study programs, and the opinion of the industry is of great importance for achieving this objective.

For this reason, at the initiative of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Economic Chamber of NM, a panel discussion was held on 6 April 2026 at the Chamber’s premises. The discussion brought together representatives of the business sector to explore how mechanical engineering studies can be improved and how the needs of all stakeholders can be met.

Of particular importance was hearing the views of companies regarding the type of engineering profile they require and the key competencies they consider essential. The aim was to open a constructive dialogue on the kind of workforce the industry needs today, the knowledge and skills required, and how a higher-quality educational process can be jointly developed.
