More than 220 companies from Macedonia and Italy took part in the Italian–Macedonian Business Forum on the topic "Business Opportunities and Investments," held in Skopje. The event was organized by the Embassy of Italy in Skopje, in cooperation with the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) – Skopje, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy.
The Executive Director of the Economic Chamber, Antoni Peshev, participated in the Forum as the Chamber's representative.
The focus of the Forum was on exploring opportunities to deepen economic cooperation through three sectoral panels dedicated to infrastructure, the energy transition, and innovation – with a special emphasis on the circular economy, agricultural technology, and Industry 5.0.
As part of the networking segment, over 150 B2B meetings were held between Italian and Macedonian companies, as well as with representatives of international financial institutions, including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB).
According to official data, trade between Italy and North Macedonia reached €560 million in 2024, with an increase in both exports and imports.
