On 2 July 2026, the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia – Regional Chamber in Bitola, in cooperation with the Public Revenue Office, organized a professional workshop dedicated to the implementation of the electronic invoicing system.

The workshop was attended by more than 80 representatives from over 50 companies from the Bitola region, with the aim of providing timely information and preparing businesses for the forthcoming introduction of the e-invoicing system, a significant component of the broader process of digitalization and modernization of business and administrative procedures. The event attracted considerable interest from the business community, confirming the need for continuous support and professional education for companies as they adapt to new legislative and technological solutions.

During the workshop, representatives of the Public Revenue Office presented the key features, functionalities, and legal aspects of the electronic invoicing system, as well as the expected impact of its implementation on business operations. Particular attention was given to a practical demonstration of the application, covering various business scenarios and procedures related to system registration, the issuance and receipt of electronic invoices, and functionalities such as invoice acceptance, rejection, correction, and cancellation. This allowed participants to gain direct insight into the practical application of the system and its integration into everyday business processes.

In addition, participants were informed about the ongoing activities related to the establishment of the system, the planned implementation timeline, and the relevant tax aspects and indicators that will play an important role in its operation. The workshop also addressed potential challenges that companies may encounter when aligning and integrating the new solution into their existing business practices.

The workshop concluded with a discussion and exchange of views between participants and representatives of the Public Revenue Office. A number of practical issues related to the application of electronic invoicing across different business sectors were raised, including matters concerning export invoices, credit notes and debit notes, and the possibility of correcting part of an invoice rather than cancelling it in its entirety. The discussion provided additional clarification on specific aspects of the system and helped identify the needs and expectations of companies ahead of its full implementation.
