The President of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, Branko Azeski, visited Resen on 5 April this year, where he held a working meeting with the Mayor of the Municipality of Resen, Jovan Tozievski, together with representatives of the Regional Chamber based in Bitola.
The meeting focused on current economic challenges and the development potential of the Prespa Region, with particular emphasis on infrastructure projects and the need to improve cross-border connectivity as a prerequisite for economic growth, tourism development, and the strengthening of the local economy.
As part of the visit, President Azeski, Mayor Tozievski, and representatives of the Regional Chamber conducted an on-site inspection of the Markova Noga Border Crossing, a project of strategic importance for the region and for enhancing cross-border cooperation.
During the visit, a strong commitment was expressed by the Economic Chamber and local institutions to intensify activities and coordination with the competent authorities, with the aim of completing the necessary procedures as soon as possible and putting the border crossing into operation.
The opening of Markova Noga is expected to boost economic activity, support tourism development, and create new opportunities for citizens and businesses in Prespa, Pelagonija, and the wider region.
The Economic Chamber and the Regional Chamber based in Bitola will continue to actively support initiatives that contribute to improved connectivity, economic growth, and regional development.
