The Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, as the largest and most representative business association in the country, joined the organization of the regional Master Course in Heart Failure at the initiative of the Macedonian Society of Cardiology. The Chamber supported this initiative as an opportunity to make a broader social contribution to public health and to raise awareness of the importance of prevention, particularly among business leaders—a high-risk group prone to cardiovascular diseases.

The event marked an initial step toward establishing long-term cooperation between the Chamber and the Macedonian Society of Cardiology in the field of heart failure prevention among managers, a risk group exposed to a four times greater likelihood of developing the condition. In the coming period, several activities will be launched to raise awareness of the importance of prevention among the Chamber’s membership.

After the conclusion of the working sessions, the formal opening of the Master Course took place, offering an opportunity for direct interaction and discussion between the course participants and business representatives from the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia.

As a supporter of the event, Chamber President Branko Azeski held direct meetings with leading European specialists attending the Master Course. On this occasion, he presented a plaque on behalf of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia to Prof. Dr. Thomas Lüscher, one of the course’s program directors, President of the European Society of Cardiology, Director for Research, Education and Development and Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, and Professor of Cardiology at Imperial College London.
