As part of efforts to build human capacities within companies to support the export activities of Macedonian businesses and enhance their positioning in regional and international markets, the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, with the support of the Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum (WB6 CIF), organized a one-day free seminar on 14 March 2025, on the topic of "Supply Chain and Logistics Management."
The seminar was opened by Mihajlo Donev, M.Sc., Project Manager at the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, who addressed representatives of the business community, emphasizing that this initiative is being implemented with the support of WB6 CIF within the framework of the project "EU Support to the Western Balkan 6 Chamber Investment Forum," funded by the European Union.
The primary objective of this educational event was to introduce participants to the complex supply chain management system, which connects all organizations, people, information, products, and resources involved in the creation of a product and/or service—from suppliers to the final consumer. Additionally, the seminar highlighted supply chain management as a crucial element of modern business operations, enabling the efficient coordination of all participants in the creation and delivery process.
The seminar was attended by 45 participants from 25 companies operating in the following sectors: agriculture, retail trade, distribution, chemical industry, confectionery industry, manufacturing industry, metalworking, and electronics industries.
This training was intended for management and department heads in companies, as well as for employees in procurement and logistics services, production management, sales, quality control, and category management. The lecturer was Miljan Dimitrijević, a consultant with extensive international managerial experience and an expert in sales, logistics, procurement, and large-scale team management, who has conducted numerous consulting projects in sales.
The Chamber Investment Forum was established by the six chambers of commerce of the Western Balkans region (Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Albania, Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, and Kosovo Chamber of Commerce) with the goal of strengthening cooperation among the chambers to implement joint initiatives beneficial to the regional business community.
