Irregular VAT refunds, the need for amendments to the Law on Labor Relations, the preparation of CBAM reports to help companies comply with EU carbon tax regulations and optimize their processes, and continuous active visits to companies in the metal and electronics industry were among the key topics discussed at the meeting of the Metal and Electronics Industry Association within the Economic Chamber.
The discussion concerning the amendments to the Law on Labor Relations focused on increasing quotas for the import of foreign workers, which is particularly important due to the growing outflow of skilled professionals from the industry, leading to a serious shortage of qualified labor.
Companies at the meeting raised concerns about delays in VAT refunds, which create liquidity issues and limit their ability to invest and expand their operations. This issue was identified as a serious obstacle to industry stability.
The planned company visit program was also discussed, aimed at improving communication and facilitating the exchange of best practices among enterprises in the industry. This initiative is expected to bring significant benefits by fostering innovation and driving sector growth.
Representatives from companies in the sector actively participated in the discussion, sharing opinions and proposals for future activities. They also put forward specific recommendations for addressing current challenges and improving conditions for the development of the metal and electronics industry, which will serve as a foundation for further strategic conclusions and actions.
