It would be beneficial for financial system regulators to consider a holistic approach when regulating the financial sector.

Rather than the National Bank focusing solely on what benefits commercial banks, the Ministry of Finance on what suits the rest of the financial system, and the Insurance Supervision Agency exclusively on insurance, there should be an integrated framework ensuring these segments complement one another rather than compete against each other at this stage of economic development.

Only through such synergy can the entire economy benefit—from small and medium-sized enterprises and consumers to all stakeholders across the financial sector.
