The National Export Council is the pivotal body within the Economic Chamber acting as a platform for public-private dialogue between the government and the business sector. Its members comprise senior leadership from the Chamber, the Government, and state institutions and bodies with competencies and activities related to exports. The council is chaired by Chamber President Azeski, with its activities focusing on:

1.     Concrete export support through direct instruments and measures funded by the state budget via relevant institutions across sectors, as well as general backing for trade fair appearances and marketing activities;

2.     Monitoring and driving the reduction of customs duties (for specific tariff codes) to align them with levels established across the EU;

3.     Digitalization of customs operational procedures;

4.     Continuous identification of non-tariff barriers that obstruct overall foreign-trade operations;

5.     Monitoring international regulations and their impact on Macedonian export companies and their global competitiveness;

6.     Initiating the signing of new bilateral free trade agreements with countries that have the potential to become strategic markets for Macedonian exporters.
