The Foreign Investors Council (FIC) welcomes the Government’s efforts to address the challenges faced by Macedonian transport operators related to the new EU Entry/Exit System (EES), and in particular the announcement by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Aleksandar Nikoloski, regarding the postponement of the system’s implementation for Macedonian carriers until 30 September.

The Foreign Investors Council is closely monitoring the situation and points to the gravity of the issue, which directly affects the operations of companies.

The Council supports efforts to find a solution for Macedonian transport operators, as this would safeguard investments in the country, ensure the unhindered movement of goods, reduce risks to industrial production, and maintain the stability of employment and exports in conditions of exceptionally high price pressures on raw materials and energy, increasingly complex logistics routes due to the Middle East crisis, and intense global competition.
