Joshevski for MRT: Regulator’s Measures Aimed at Improving User Experience and Growth of Financial Companies

The strengthened control and supervisory role of the regulatory authority—the Ministry of Finance—is a positive step that will contribute to a better user experience and the further development of the non-banking financial sector. This was emphasized by Nikola Joshevski, President of the Group of Non-Banking Financial Companies within the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, in an interview for MRT.

According to Joshevski, the establishment of a dedicated department for supervision of financial companies, along with the strengthening of its human capacities, represents a systematic approach by the Ministry of Finance in implementing the legislation in this segment.

He highlighted that these measures are expected to increase transparency and improve the relationship with consumers, which will directly enhance trust in financial companies and support the growth of their activities.

At the same time, Joshevski noted that the Ministry of Finance and the Group within the Economic Chamber hold regular quarterly meetings, where open issues are discussed and solutions are sought to overcome sectoral challenges. As he added, the Group of Non-Banking Financial Companies fully supports the regulator’s activities aimed at transparent and fair consumer information, as well as at addressing existing inconsistencies.
