Today, The Economist Business Summit is being held in Sofia, Bulgaria, bringing together political and business leaders from Bulgaria and the region. The discussions covered global and regional topics, including:
- The global geopolitical situation.
- Energy and the green transition.
- Artificial intelligence and information technology.
- Bulgaria’s priorities for 2025.
The President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, officially opened the summit, while Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov also addressed the event.
Among the attendees was Branko Azeski, President of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, who held a meeting with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev. They agreed to organize meetings between Macedonian and Bulgarian business representatives later this month, focusing exclusively on:
- Infrastructure development.
- Increasing trade volume.
- Removing all barriers hindering economic cooperation between the two countries.
To further advance these initiatives, President Azeski is set to hold separate meetings with the Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Grozdan Karadzhov.
