President of the Economic Chamber Branko Azeski on Business Club: Preventing Brain Drain and Supporting Exports are the Two Projects the Chamber will Focus on in the Coming Period

 “From 2005 to today, operating under conditions of chamber pluralism, we have issued 201,667 documents from the Business Office (certificates of origin, ATA carnets, confirmations, recommendations, and opinions); we have organized 6,732 events, business forums, conferences, and presentations, attended by 198,302 company representatives; we have held 1,552 international activities and published 952 electronic brochures and publications, while over 280 companies have been certified with internationally recognized quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, HALAL, HACCP). The Chamber has also hosted more than 200 foreign delegations,” stated Branko Azeski, President of the Economic Chamber, who appeared as a guest in the final episode of the first season of the Business Club podcast.

Responding to the question of what lies behind Branko Azeski’s stern face, he emphasized that behind it is professionalism and hard work—efforts that have led to the Chamber becoming recognized as the most powerful and largest business organization in the country and the broader region, and to him earning the nickname the Balkan chamber leader. This professionalism contributed to President Azeski receiving the Order of Merit for the Republic in 2022, and to the Chamber receiving the Digital Champion for Small Business award from the World Trade Organization in 2021, the award for Best Corporate Website in the country in 2020, Best Chamber in the Region in 2013, and Best Web Portal within Eurochambres in 2006.

In the conversation, he also mentioned the institutions established within the Chamber from 2005 to the present: the Education Center, the Foreign Investors Council, the National Export Council, the Export Institute, the Exporters' Club, the Council for Promotion of Education and Training Quality, the Council for Promotion of Higher Education and Strategic Research, the Circular Economy Center, Club 100, the Europe Business Club, the Center for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, and TEAM 40—all created to improve the business environment in the country.

“Revenues grew from 32 million denars in 2005 to 110 million denars in 2024, and a base of professionals has been built to carry the work forward over the next 10 years,” Azeski emphasized.

Later in the podcast, President Azeski presented the two projects the Chamber will focus on in the coming period: (1) preventing the brain drain from our country and (2) supporting exports, which together will help retain talent within the country.

The final episode of the first season of the Business Club podcast also addressed the show's viewership since it first aired in November last year. It was revealed that 70% of the audience consists of young people aged 25 to 45. This demonstrates that the podcast has successfully reached the young, working-age population—which was the goal—and may influence their decision to stay in the country and build a professional career domestically.

The total reach on social media amounted to 300,000 views, a solid figure considering the specific subject matter of the podcast, successfully achieving the set objective.
