New Opportunities for Economic Cooperation with France: ECNM Business Club Elects New Leadership and Adopts the 2025 Plan

04/03/2025

The Business Club for Cooperation with France and Francophone Countries at the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia elected new leadership today and adopted its work program for 2025. Goce Markov from Tikveš was unanimously elected as the Club's president, and members agreed on activities aimed at strengthening business ties with French partners.

The meeting was attended by member companies of the Club, as well as the President of the Economic Chamber, Branko Azeski, and the French Ambassador to North Macedonia, H.E. Christophe Le Rigoleur.

Ambassador Le Rigoleur emphasized that while France’s economic presence in North Macedonia remains modest, interest in investment has been growing.

"There is potential to enhance our cooperation. I express my gratitude to the Economic Chamber and its President for this initiative. Let’s strengthen the economic ties between our two countries. Although we are not absent, our presence remains at a modest level, which does not correspond to the high level of bilateral relations between France and North Macedonia," the ambassador stated.

Branko Azeski, president of the Economic Chamber, highlighted that as the largest business association, the Chamber is committed to fostering international economic cooperation and creating new opportunities for Macedonian companies.

"We need joint efforts and a collective approach to markets. From the French Embassy, we expect maximum support in building stronger economic ties. Macedonian companies and innovators are ready and motivated to enter EU markets, leveraging their competitiveness and innovation to achieve greater success," Azeski stated.

The Business Club includes Macedonian and French companies, with its primary goal being to serve as a platform for exchanging experiences and best practices. It aims to facilitate cooperation between Macedonian, French, and Francophone companies, helping them share ideas and strategies to jointly expand into third markets. Additionally, it seeks to attract new investors and companies that can successfully operate in our country.
