Azeski Meets with Exporters Club and Export Institute Leadership: Chamber Launches New Export Concept

27/01/2025

Branko Azeski, President of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, held a working meeting with the leadership of the Exporter' Club (Prof. Dr. Darko Lazarov, Anatol Kutreski from Pekabesko AD Skopje, Zoran N. Iliev from Aktiva DOO Shtip, and Evgenija Angelovska from Laminati Kom DOO Prilep) and members of the Management Board of the Export Institute (Borijan Borozanov from Johnson Matthey Skopje, Prof. Dr. Irena Kikerkova, Andrea Serafimovski from Granit AD Skopje, and Prof. Dr. Emilija Miteva-Kacarski). These two key institutions form the foundation of the Chamber's new export strategy.

The Exporters Club is a specialized body within the Chamber with over 200 member export companies. Meanwhile, the newly established Export Institute is designed to provide expert, professional, and technical support to companies. Through its training center, the Institute will offer specialized training, studies, and educational programs aimed at strengthening the human and managerial capacities of export-oriented companies via various modules and programs delivered by domestic and international experts.

During the meeting, President Azeski outlined the upcoming activities that will operationalize and implement the Chamber's new export concept. Among these is the Export Day event, scheduled for 31 January 2025 (Friday), at the Chamber's premises. The event will feature a session of the National Export Council, chaired by Azeski as the representative of the business sector, alongside the Prime Minister of the RNM, relevant economy ministers, and representatives of the country's largest and most successful exporting companies.

This council serves as a platform for public-private dialogue on export-related issues, acting as an advisory body to propose initiatives and policies to enhance exports and support export-oriented companies.

The event will also include the official opening of the new Export Institute premises and a showcase of recent Chamber activities aimed at supporting exporters. These initiatives include providing expertise for introducing international quality standards, creating export marketing strategies, integrating digital solutions into company operations, and offering technical support for accessing financial resources. Additionally, the EASY EXPORT digital platform will be launched, providing a one-stop hub for useful information for export companies and promoting Macedonian firms through an export directory integrated into the platform.

Prof. Dr. Darko Lazarov, President of the Exporters Club, emphasized during the meeting that the Club, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management of the RNM, plans to organize several international fair appearances for export companies in the agro-food sector. Plans are also underway for organizing multiple B2B meetings and buyer missions to facilitate networking and secure new trade partners for Macedonian companies. Furthermore, Lazarov announced the organization of an annual conference dedicated to Macedonian exporters, aimed at greater recognition of their efforts and the promotion of Macedonian brands.

All these activities reflect the Chamber's commitment to building robust institutional capacities in the export sector. The launch of the new export concept, structured around three pillars—National Export Council, Exporters Club, and Export Institute—is designed to deliver concrete tools and services for export-oriented companies.
